The 2022 Family Fun Day was a huge success. It was estimated that over 400 people turned out to take part in the annual event co-sponsored by the Cedar Valley Walleye Club and Impact Outdoors. The Walleye Club cooked up some amazing fish and provided the attendees with what seemed to be a never ending supply of fishing gear. Impact Outdoors and the Cedar Valley Walleye Club were able to give away 200 fishing poles to the children in attendance.
A special thanks goes out to the volunteers that helped make this event happen. We would also like to give an extra special thank you to the sponsors that show up every year. Without them this event would not happen.

Impact Outdoors helped the Raymond Bow Hunters’ dream of a new archery tower become a reality. Impact Outdoors provided the funding for the materials and the new bow tower was built by volunteers from the club. IO was happy to be part of this project. The new bow tower located in Raymond, Iowa, will be available to archers for years to come.
Here are some pictures from the project.
2018 saw the completion of a long term and much needed project. Starting in early 2016, I.O. saw a need for a new archery tower in Black Hawk Park. The existing structure was in very bad shape. It was determined that it was no longer fit for use. Impact Outdoors began coordinating with local and county officials as well as contractors and designers. At the end of August 2018, the new and much improved archery tower was ready for use. The tower features multiple shooting stations, as well as a planned handicap accessible shooting station at the ground level. We want to thank all the people that helped make this project possible, as well as the members of Impact Outdoors, who’s generous donations and support allowed us to make this excellent addition to the outdoor community in the Cedar Valley.
A very special thanks goes out to:

100 fishing poles were given out and kids were able to have fun kayaking, practicing archery, competing in pedal tractor pulls, painting bird houses, enjoying fried walleye and of course, participating in the famous minnow races. Special thanks to the Cedar Valley Walleye Club for being a great partner on this event.
Impact Outdoors is proud to have been a part of this collaboration with the Aikey family to build a shelter at Big Woods Lake near the Frisbee golf area.
Impact Outdoors donated over $3,000.00 in equipment to Hartman Reserve.
The donated equipment includes 25 sets of MSR youth snowshoes, archery equipment that includes bows, arrows and equipment cases. Thanks to everyone that supports I.O. It’s your support that makes projects like this possible!!
Impact Outdoors made a contribution to Hartman Reserve to help purchase new turtle tanks. These turtle tanks help serve as an educational exhibit for hundreds of adults and kids every year.
Impact Outdoors made a contribution to the Black Hawk Archers Club. For many years the Black Hawk Archers Club has done a great job inviting archers of all ages and skill levels to join their organization. Hickory Hills 3D bow shoots were in need of new bow shoot towers as the old ones became weathered and unusable. IO is happy to of helped this great archers club in the Cedar Valley.
Impact Outdoors assisted Hartman Reserve in rehabilitating several acres with donating 500 trees. Several volunteers from the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts along with Impact Outdoors made this day a success.
